Shantika Holliday

Shantika Holliday definitely fits this model. A licensed Esthetician & Makeup Artist specializing in brow styling (wax, threading, tinting), and natural to editorial makeup for special occasions, bridal photo shoots, and special projects. Ms. Holliday also enjoys creative directing, writing, and various other art forms. As if that isn’t enough she is the founder of her own non-profit foundation “I Inspire Beauty” @i.inspire.beauty.

What I love about Shantika Holliday is her heart for all women to be healthy from the inside out. She advocates girls and women to have knowledge and understanding of mental health. Her work in encouraging all ages of women to take the time needed to understand the needs of their mind and emotions speaks volumes about her character. Shantika’s goal for all girls is to know their worth, be whole, and to dream big and to fight for those dreams. She puts her heart into her ministry and projects, pouring into other women and girls. Ms. Holliday has a sweet and genuine spirit that is authentic. I enjoy being around her and being inspired.

Here is her view of beauty.

Q: WHAT IS BEAUTY TO YOU?

Beauty is being true to your own spirit. Self aware and in tuned to who you are, fully aligned w/your life’s purpose, your creator, and committed to constant evolution to greater awareness and self identity. Unapologetically. Beauty is submitting your gifts & talents to serving others.

Q: WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF DO YOU NOT LIKE?

I don’t like that sometimes I can be really indecisive, overthink things, and controlling. All of that leads to me being a perfectionist which can be great when it comes to details, but also paralyzing because sometimes you just have to start where you are and adjust along the way. If you wait for perfection you won’t accomplish much, if anything. I’ve also had to learn to lean on others and trust their judgment and roll with it sometimes and focus my attention on what REALLY matters to me in the grand scheme.

Q: WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOURSELF?

I love my creativity. I’m a visionary. I love that when I really get into something, I’m all in and zoned out for as long as it fuels me. I get energy when I’m able to use creative expression and vibe with other creative and positive people. I love my overall vibe. My heart is genuine, I invest in people (sometimes too much..but that’s another story), I like my sense of style, and my attitude, easy going but don’t bite because I do bite back.

Q: WHAT ONE THING ARE YOU WORKING ON TO BECOME A BETTER YOU?

I’m working on trusting my own abilities more. With me being an over-thinker I tend to second guess myself sometimes. Both personally and professionally I’ve observed where others have believed in my abilities more than I did. I’m learning to tap into that and bet on me more because I have been successful, I’ve conquered hard things before and I’m fully capable, I just can’t let my psyche get in the way. I’m also practicing being more grateful and accepting of my own path and knowing that my family, my life, my business etc.. nothing has to look like anyone else’s.

Q: WHO DO YOU ADMIRE MOST IN THIS WORLD (dead or alive, famous or not)? HOW DO THEY INSPIRE YOU?

I admire my parents. They are more than parents, more than family, both of my parents are my friends. I have such an appreciation for them b/c I know their individual stories, I know what they were up against in life and how hard they worked to build a solid foundation for me, my siblings, and even others in my family. I owe them my life and that’s what inspires me to be better so they know that any investment they made in me was not in vain, that they know they can count on me. Besides that, they are really cool, we enjoy time together and share a lot of laughs.

Q: WHAT DO YOU ADMIRE MOST ABOUT OTHER WOMEN?

I love our diversity, our drive to win, and esp when there’s a sincere heart to help others. There is a certain mystique about being a woman and I think it shows in the way we move about life.

Q:WHAT DO YOU WANT THE WORLD TO HEAR/SEE WHEN WITNESSING YOUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE?

I want them to see my definition of beauty, me being true to my own spirit moving in my own way, using my gifts, talents, and creativity to serve others.

There you have it! Ms. Shantika Holliday!
