Journey Moore
What is beauty? Well, society says many things about it. So much that many of us try to fit into what that is. What is it really though?
Meet Journey Moore. She may come off quiet to some, but her gifts speak volumes. Her parents noticed at a young age her artistic ability. Journey began drawing pictures of various characters while watching cartoons at home. She would draw and sketch different clothing designs, and for fun would come up with clothing ideas for her baby dolls.
With her abilities, enrolling in an art program was a must. Here is Journey’s view on beauty.
Q: WHAT IS BEAUTY TO YOU?
Confidence! Don’t be who you are not and embrace yourself.
Q: WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF DO YOU NOT LIKE?
My hair. When my hair is in its natural state I have long, big curls. I would rather have tight curls. I love big hair.
Q: WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF DO YOU LOVE?
My dark skin. I think dark skin is beautiful.
Q: WHAT ONE THING ARE YOU WORKING ON TO BECOME A BETTER YOU?
Talking to people more in person instead of through text. I want to be able to talk as much as I text, and I have to make it a point to practice this.
Q: WHO DO YOU ADMIRE MOST IN THIS WORLD (DEAD OR ALIVE, FAMOUS OR NOT)?
My parents. They are always there for me even when my attitude is not the best. They inspire me to be better. This year I am going to be a better me, and it starts at home with my family. Family is very important to me.
Q: WHAT DO YOU ADMIRE MOST ABOUT OTHER WOMEN?
Women are fighters. Women fight for their families and friends even when things get hard. Women deal with emotions but are strong mentally and physically.
Q: VOICES COME IN MANY FORMS. WHAT DO YOU WANT THE WORLD TO HEAR AND SEE WHEN WITNESSING YOUR ICONIC BEAUTIFUL VOICE?
Well, I would want the world to see me confident in myself, knowing I love who I am, and I wouldn’t change who I am for someone else.
So there you have it! A beautiful young lady with a beautiful spirit. Journey is growing and learning every day.
She is gorgeous, she’s radiant, and she’s lovely. Beauty comes in all shades and sizes.
