It’s only right we close out February with this beauty. It’s amazing what can come out of a fifteen minute conversation from an Uber ride and what seeds can be planted. Who knew that ride would turn into an Iconic Beautiful Voice shoot.

From the moment we met, the honesty and transparency she speaks with makes her a great friend. Her warm, open, and grand personality will keep you laughing.

Shearry Richardson comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Growing up she helped run her parents business, so needless to say entrepreneurship is in her blood. She started a business of her own with an online clothing company and discovered her love for jewelry @myheavensentjewels. She is also an eyelash stylist @theonlylashgoddess.

What I love about this beauty is she personifies the strength of a woman. She is an example of the many hats we wear and shoulders the multiple task we are assigned.

Shearry Richardson quotes, “Women have been prepared for problems all our lives from birth.” I respect her hustle as she is a mother of two, graduate student, and an advocate for women loving themselves and mental health.

Check out her view of beauty.

Q: WHAT IS BEAUTY TO YOU?

Beauty to me is one’s inner beauty shining out through the love they give to those they come in contact with everyday. It means being comfortable in the skin that God has given you. Lastly it is a lifestyle of gratitude and accepting one’s flaws and all.

Q: WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF DO YOU NOT LIKE AND WHAT ABOUT YOURSELF DO YOU LOVE?

One thing I do not like about myself is that I am a crybaby. I cry about any and everything. Even though I try to put up this persona that I don’t care, I really do. Now one thing I love about myself is my overly big personality and loudness. I feel helps my light shine to the world.

Q: WHAT ONE THING ARE YOU WORKING ON TO BECOME A BETTER YOU?

Self care is the biggest thing I am working on this year. For so many years I have let that go due to marriage and children and now with everything I am going through, I am finally taking the time to take care of me. It allows me to really focus on fixing things in me that I want to change, and it gives me time to really listen to my inter-being.

Q: WHO DO YOU ADMIRE MOST IN THIS WORLD (dead or alive, famous or not)? HOW DO THEY INSPIRE YOU?

The one person that I admire the most is my mommy Rose. She is the epitome me of a godly woman, but she is still not the one to play with. She shows me how a woman can love God, but also have balance and enjoy life without worrying what other people will say or think. I have watched my mom overcoming obstacles and weather the storms of life with love and grace. But she is also one of my biggest critics which keeps me pushing to strive to do and be better. She is a woman BOSS of all bosses, and I definitely got my business savvy from her.

Q: WHAT DO YOU ADMIRE MOST ABOUT OTHER WOMEN (Physical or not)?

I just love women periodt! I am totally all about women empowerment. Women come in all shapes, color, and sizes. They have so much to get back to this world and it doesn’t hurt that they are strong and resilient.

Q: VOICES COME IN MANY FORMS. WHAT DO YOU WANT YHE WORLD TO HEAR AND SEE WHEN WITNESSING YOUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE?

When the world hears my voice. I want them to know God loves them and I do too. I want them to know that they are not alone, that someone out hear is praying for them.
